More Teaching Pros Find The CFST Very Useful!

The word is spreading amongst Southern California teaching professionals that the ClubFace Swing Trainer makes it much easier to show their students how to achieve a square club face position through impact. Randy Chang, 2010 SCPGA Teacher of the Year, at Talega Golf Club, now uses it both in classes and on an individual basis. Other prominent teachers in all five SCPGA chapters are finding it much easier to show their students whether or not they are squaring the club face during takeaway, at the top of the backswing and most importantly, at impact. The simple color coded box on the shaft reinforces the proper grip and club positions and gives the student something they can practice with on their own which aids the retention of this important concept for a longer period of time. And this, all the teachers agree, avoids many of the relapses that students experience between lessons, thereby speeding up their progress toward a more efficient and effective swing.

Will 15 Minutes With the ClubFace Trainer get you 15 More Yards?

We're sure you've heard a similar phrase before and this may sound like media hype, but many players and teaching pros have found it to be true. Start with Hunter Mahan having his best year ever with 2 wins and over $3.5 million in earnings after endorsing the ClubFace Swing Trainer. And if you haven't checked with your local teaching pro about the benefits of the CFST, you're missing out on the chance to pick up more than a few yards off the tee.

Want to turn that slice into a nice long draw, or that hook into a straight ball? Pick one up and spend just 15 minutes a day checking out your club head position. It's easy, simple and gives you immediate, effective feedback. What have you got to lose? Slices, lost balls in the rough, out of bounds or in water hazards? Start looking down the fairway. The ball rolls further on the short grass!

ClubFace Travels to Malaysia

Recently the ClubFace Swing Trainer traveled all the way to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with the California TV Team Golf's Grand Championship. The new swing trainer was a big hit with the locals who got to see it demonstrated first hand. It was also shown around at a golf industry trade show that happened to be in town. Many enthusiasts, especially teaching professionals and some golf academy operators were anxious to get their hands on the product for use in their schools.

The ClubFace Swing Trainer then traveled on to other parts of Asia to generate interest in this amazingly simple and effective golf training aid. It travels well and seems to be universally understood in any language with little or no explanation needed. After all, if you control the club face, you control the ball!

Testimonials Reveal Other Uses For The ClubFace Swing Trainer

Two students who have been employing the ClubFace Swing Trainer have remarked how it has improved their game and made them aware of the important feel of a square club head position. One NFL side judge has knocked an average of five shots off his scores and is about to break through into the 70's. Another real estate developer is finally conquering the chronic slice and turning it into a nice draw, adding distance and accuracy. But both have realized the CFST can be used for the short game as well. Keeping the yellow side in view on chips and pitches ensures a square club face with hands ahead at impact, crucial to solid contact on those critical stroke saving shots. Try it, you might be amazed! It might even have helped Hunter on the 17th hole of his Ryder Cup singles match, although the results were pretty much a foregone conclusion by then!

Captain Pavin's Pics add another So Cal Junior Golf Alumni!

Having announced that Rickie Fowler will join Tiger, Stewart Cink and Zach Johnson as the four captains picks for the upcoming Ryder Cup, Corey Pavin now has four So Cal Junior Golf alumni on the team! Tiger, Phil, Hunter and now Rickie, all honed their golf competitiveness on the SCPGA Junior Golf tournament calendar. It will be most interesting to see how Captain Pavin pairs up the 12 man squad to take on the Europeans at Celtic Manor. With five rookies on the team, both experience and past friendships, or rivalries, may need to be considered before the matches are made. To be sure, the US has a great variety of youth, experience and flair to bring to the battle. And a battle it will be against a strong Euro team on their home turf.

On another note, Hunter's scoring suffered somewhat in the last two rounds of the Deutsche Bank tournament. His opening 64 put him in good shape, but a closing 74 slid him down the score board to a tie for 33rd. He's still on to the next round of the playoffs at Cog Hill, but may need to get out the ClubFace Swing Trainer to square himself up for the tough test ahead. Only the top 30 make it to the grand finale at East Lake.

Will Hunter's coach, Sean Foley, become Tiger's new coach?

When Hunter Mahan isn't working on his game with the ClubFace Swing Trainer, he goes to Canadian born swing guru, Sean Foley, in Orlando. Other players working with Foley are Sean O'Hair, Stephen Ames, and Justin Rose to name a few. Foley is known as a very cerebral teacher who feels that staying centered over the ball is very important. It should be interesting to see if Tiger works more with him over the next few weeks. With the upcoming Captain's picks for the Ryder Cup due on September 7th, if Captain Pavin choses to add Tiger to the team, it might mean a possible pairing with Hunter in the fourball and foursome matches.

How about that PGA Championship at Whistling Straits? It's old news now, but the blame for Dustin Johnson's blunder on the 72nd hole is still looking for a scapegoat. You can try to place it on the marshals, the rules official, the caddie and maybe even the architect, Pete Dye, but ultimately, it lays squarely on the players shoulders to know when they are in a bunker. And, give Dustin Johnson credit, he took it like the true sportsman he is. He'll have another shot at a big title. This writer just hopes he can change his closed club face position at the top of the back swing that causes him to block shots to the right occasionally. Maybe he should work with a ClubFace Swing Trainer?

Hunter's win at Firestone moves him to #7 in Fed Ex rankings and #2 in Ryder Cup points.

It must have felt like winning a major to Hunter Mahan whose two previous wins were the 2007 Traveler's and the 2010 Waste Management, Phoenix Open. After all, it not only vaulted him into the Fed Ex playoffs, but also secured his second Ryder Cup appearance.

With a current top ten standing on the Fed Ex points list, Hunter looks forward to the three playoff events that precede the Tour Championship. Last year he faired well at the Barclay's in New Jersey with a T20th finish. He plans to improve on his T36th at the Deutsche Bank and T38th at the BMW this year now that he has a more comfortable standing going in. The three courses, Ridgewood, TPC Boston and Cog Hill, will set up well for Hunter's long, accurate tee shots. So let's get behind our man as he uses the ClubFace Swing Trainer to help him split the center of the fairways and keep his greens in regulation high!

Hunter Mahan's second win of 2010 comes at the Bridgestone!

With a bogey-less 64, Hunter once again came from behind to capture his biggest victory on the PGA tour. A five under par 30 on the front nine at Firestone paved the way for the two shot margin, but crucial par saving putts on 16 & 17 were still needed for the ultimate win. Going for the monstrous par five 16th in two, Hunter's stray second shot took a fortuitous bounce into a flower bed behind and between the two grand stands. (Do tour players actually default aim for the grand stands to avoid other hazards?) The rules official on the spot determined a nearest point of relief, either invoking rule 24 (Obstructions) or rule 25 (Abnormal Ground Conditions) which gave Hunter an alley way toward the green through which he wisely played a conservative chip just over the far side of the green. An up and down from there as well as on #17 after a short side miss going for the flag, resulted in two nice pars. A fine approach on #18 led to an easy par and when Ryan Palmer failed to birdie the last two holes, the trophy belonged to Hunter.

Did using the ClubFace Swing Trainer help keep him on target? You bet! Once again Hunter was among the tops in fairways and greens hit. That's how he can shoot a final round of 64 on a long, narrow layout like Firestone where distance and accuracy are a premium. Now he's on to the PGA Championship (as Charlie Rymer's pick, by the way) and the Fed Ex playoffs!

Hunter Wins the WM Phoenix Open

Congratulations to Hunter for his second PGA victory, coming at the Waste Management Phoenix Open! Hunter was bogey-free on the weekend and shot a 6-under 65 Sunday to win the WM Phoenix Open by a stroke.

"It's just finding a way to win. I just haven't been able to do it," he said. "So obviously it feels great to get off the year on my fifth tournament to win. It gives me a lot of confidence in myself that I'm doing the right things in my game, and it feels great, it really does."

It's a great start to 2010 and we look forward to seeing what he does the rest of the year.

All the best Hunter!

Need Some Help?

FAQ's:

Q: So what exactly is the ClubFace Golf Swing Trainer?
A: The ClubFace Golf Swing Trainer is a weighted exercise golf training aid that teaches the golfer to understand and correct the position of the clubface at any point in the golf swing, while helping stretch, strengthen and develop a player's golf muscles. With the use of the multi-colored ClubFace Swing Trainer, the golfer can determine whether the clubface is square, open or closed. It works to develop correct muscle memory with a square clubface position throughout the entire golf swing. The color coordinated grip also teaches the player the relationship between the placement of the hands on the grip to the position of the clubface throughout the golf swing and the shape of the ball flight.

Q: How quickly does the ClubFace Golf Swing Trainer ship after I order and where are you shipping from?
A: The product normally ships in one to two weeks. For an additional fee, the ClubFace Golf Swing Trainer can be shipped in 2- 3 days.

Q: Do you have other golf training aids to be released in the future?
A: ClubFace Golf will continue to develop and market more revolutionary golf swing training aids, instructional books and DVDs. Future products include THE CLUBFACE POWER PACKAGE. This includes a new book and DVD written by Dave Wesley called "50 Exercises for 25 Yards". These golf exercises were designed by Dave Wesley to help develop a player's explosive golf muscles that can be done in the comfort of your own home. THE CLUBFACE POWER PACKAGE includes the book, DVD, exercise bungee cord, stabilization ball and a weighted driver ClubFace Swing Trainer. Look for THE CLUBFACE POWER PACKAGE in late 2010.

Q: Is there a warranty on the ClubFace Golf Swing Trainer?
A: Yes, we offer a 1-year warranty for damage which might occur during suggested use technique of the ClubFace Golf Swing Trainer. The warranty does not cover damage from using the device to hit golf balls or objects as this is not a suggested or recommended use.

Q: What is the weight of the ClubFace Swing Trainer and can I actually hit golf balls with it?
A: The ClubFace Swing Trainer is a weighted golf swing trainer that helps the player to understand and correct the position of the clubface at any point in the swing. It weighs 40 ounces. The ClubFace Swing Trainer is not designed to hit a golf ball. The scientifically designed weighted golf club ingrains exact muscle memory to reinforce the correct moves of swinging the club with a square clubface in order to eliminate unwanted hooks and slices. We recommend you make a few swings at the driving range with the ClubFace Swing trainer, and then hit a few shots with golf clubs from your bag.

Q: How will using the ClubFace Swing Trainer improve my golf game?
A: In order for golfers to reach their full potential they must be able to control the position of the clubface throughout the entire golf swing. This is a characteristic of all great golf players. Most golfers don't control their clubface and in fact, most don't even have an understanding of the proper golf swing. The ClubFace Swing Trainer makes it simple to learn how to place your hands on the golf grip in order for the clubface to be in a perfectly neutral position, swing the golf club with a perfectly square clubface position and see the result of a straight, powerful golf shot. Just 5 minutes a day in your home can help get rid of hooks and slices.

Q: Will the ClubFace Golf Trainer help my slice?
A: It is the opinion of ClubFace Golf that the technology in golf is GREAT. We recommend to every golfer that you take advantage of the great improvement in golf equipment and golf training aids. The main reason a golfer slices the ball is not the equipment but the technique of the person swinging the golf club. A person who slices the golf ball on a consistent basis is almost always swinging the golf club with a clubface that is open throughout the entire golf swing. No offset club in the world will prevent a ball from slicing when the club is being swung with an excessively open clubface. With the ClubFace Swing Trainer, the slicer can correct that flawed move and get rid of that slice. In fact, if they work with the ClubFace Golf swing trainer and some of our instructional materials, the slicer should be able to turn that weak slice into a strong, powerful draw in a very short time. Once the golfer corrects the flawed clubface position and develops a strong, repeatable golf swing, then we recommend you go get golf clubs that are fit for you to help bring further enjoyment of the game to you.

Q: I love the ClubFace Golf Swing Trainer; can I buy a set of the color coded grips that I can put on my entire set of clubs?
A: Yes. One of the most exciting products from ClubFace Golf is its patented ClubFace Golf color coded grip designed to help the golfer place his hands on the club in a perfectly neutral position every time. ClubFace Golf will have golf grips that are sold individually or in a package of 13 so the golfer can regrip his or her entire set of golf clubs. Look for this in fall 2010.

Q: Can I buy accessories for golfing drills like the exercise ball from you as well?
A: ClubFace Golf is always continuing to develop products and learning material to help all golfers. ClubFace Golf will have multiple products coming out in the next year all designed to help people's physical, mental and spiritual side of their golf game. The best way is to sign up with ClubFaceGolf.com's e-mail list and become a member. It's free of charge.

Q: I saw the golf tips on YouTube, can I buy those shirts and hats for myself?
A: Yes. If you've seen golf accessories or clothing in our golf video lessons that you'd like to own, you'll soon be able to. ClubFace Golf has designed some of the best looking golf hats and shirts to come along in a while. Look for them to be on the ClubFaceGolf.com website later this fall.

About ClubFace Golf and Our Story

ClubFace Golf's philosophy is to produce the simplest and most effective golf swing training aids and equipment, along with thorough educational material for the world of golf. Our Golf Improvement Mission is to help every golfer learn about the position of the clubface and its effect on the golf swing and the flight of the ball. For it is through control of the clubface throughout the entire swing, that you can improve your golf swing, reach your full potential and really begin to enjoy the game of golf.

CLUBFACE GOLF is a company focused on golf improvement and golf swing training equipment. It was founded by co-owners Dave Wesley and Steve Egbert. Dave is a playing and teaching golf professional in Orange County, California. He has obsessively been studying the golf swings of the games' greatest players and the teachings of what are considered to be the world's best golf teachers for the past 30 years. He is committed to golf improvement, and helping others on the course with specialized golf training clubs and equipment.

As Dave's golf improvement teaching philosophy developed he realized that the "true" secret of the golf swing is the clubface and the ability of the golfer to control it throughout the entire golf swing. The majority of golfers in the world do not have a good understanding of the clubface position throughout the swing. Dave made the clubface position throughout the entire golf swing the centerpiece of his professional golf improvement instruction, which resulted in his students achieving greater success much more quickly.

From these experiences Dave invented and patented specialized golf training equipment, including the ClubFace Golf Swing Trainer and the ClubFace Golf Grip. The ClubFace Swing Trainer is a weighted golf club training aid that teaches the golfer to understand and correct the position of the clubface at any point in the golf swing, while helping stretch, strengthen and develop a player's golf muscles. With the use of our golf training club which features a large, multi-colored clubface orientation aid, the player can see whether the clubface is square, open or closed. The color coordinated grip on our golf training equipment teaches the player the relationship between the placement of the hands on the grip to the position of the clubface throughout the swing.

As Dave was developing his golf improvement swing trainer, he began to watch many average golfers warm up and practice with some of the world's most popular weighted and speed swing trainers and golf training equipment. He would watch most golfers swing these trainers with an excessively open or closed clubface position. He noticed that when a golfer practices a slice clubface position throughout the golf swing other golf training equipment, then it would simply further ingrain this slice producing clubface position, actually increasing the amount of slice spin put on the ball. But when a slicer worked with the ClubFace Swing Trainer for just 5 minutes, they began to place their hands on the club in a "perfectly neutral" position and they began to swing the club with a "perfectly square" clubface throughout the entire golf swing, the way the world's best golfers do. They began to do it perfectly every time, without Dave watching. And because of ClubFace Golf's color coded system, the golfer began to understand the grip-to-clubface position-to ball flight relationship on their own. The results were amazing, but yet fast and easy.

ClubFace Golf has developed and patented a revolutionary golf swing trainer, a proprietary golf grip and educational products all designed around Dave's teaching philosophy of "clubface first". If we are to ever develop a strong, repeatable, consistent golf game, we must be able to control the clubface throughout the entire golf swing. It is the glue that holds the entire golf swing together and allows all other fundamentals to work correctly.

How It Works

To begin using the ClubFace Golf Swing Trainer, first set your grip on the golf club. The grip is your only connection with the golf club and owning the correct grip generates power and control in the swing. Start by taking the ClubFace Golf Swing Trainer and place your left thumb on the YELLOW section of the grip, also placing the golf club more in the fingers than your palm. Then place your right hand on the grip and take your normal golf stance.

Taking your normal stance at address, you should be able to see the knuckles of your left index and middle fingers and a "V" is formed by your thumb and forefinger. The "V" should be pointed back toward your right shoulder.

Now, with the proper grip, you can begin swinging the ClubFace Golf Swing Trainer. You should see the YELLOW side (indicating a square clubface) of the orientation aid when you look at the swing trainer in the positions of the swing listed below. If the color is not YELLOW, you need to adjust the angle of the clubface until it is square.

• Address
• Takeaway (club parallel to the ground)
• Halfway back in the swing (left arm parallel to the ground)
• Top of the swing
• First half of the downswing (left arm parallel to the ground)

As you penetrate the hitting area in the approach, release the golf club by rolling the clubface over and carry this through the finish of the golf swing. When done properly, the GREEN side of the orientation aid will be visible and you will know you have completed a solid golf swing.

Repeat the swing and watch to ensure the proper color is visible at the key points in your golf swing. Once the flow of your swing is set you can work to increase your golf swing speed, using the ClubFace Golf Swing Trainer to keep the clubface in its proper square position.
